Dan & Phil Part 4: The Cheekiest Link
What the hell is this video? I can't even get through two minutes of it. I guess I'll watch it later. It's like having a group project in school and your two group members are doing all of the work (in this case filling in a US map) while you're just sitting there waiting for them to finish... Not enjoyable. I also can't get past Hazel's high pitched screamy voice, it's worse than Dan. I really hope I end up enjoying it.
I can't lie, I really love Phil and Hazel. Hazel has a playful personality but she's also a lot more mature and older than most YouTubers, I like seeing Phil interact with that.
(insert a funny quote from the forum here)
probably one of my least favs this year, but still solid & they do have nice, pleasant chemistry together. and dick jokes, which i'm always here for.
sidenote: do we know how the tour's doing? is there a way to tell? i looked at the site & most haven't been sold out, but can we determine if it's always like a few tickets left or if it's half-empty theaters? would hate for that to happen, they're putting so much effort & energy into the tour

The video was meh in my opinion. When I saw that squeaky rooster toy I wanted to yell... come ON, Phil, STOP WITH THE CHICKEN.
I do like their chemistry, but it deserves something more exciting than a casual talking video and a challenge. They should make a video talking about more in-depth things, or at least doing something more interesting.

i've been wondering this too so i went on to the different linked sites to buy tickets for some of the shows and there are a few that say tickets unavailable (i'm assuming sold out but the dan and phil site not updated?), some venues have less than 100 tickets (I think one of them has like 10 tickets left - and all of them are random individual seats in the middle of different rows) some have quite a few left (but not a lot) and i think there are about 1 or 2 venues that aren't doing too good sales wise - if i remember correctly? (ones that have a few shows in the same state.)phamnotof wrote:probably one of my least favs this year, but still solid & they do have nice, pleasant chemistry together. and dick jokes, which i'm always here for.

Overall, I'd say they're not doing bad really.

The show that I'm going to has tickets left (or did as of last week) but the tickets were on the last row of the second balcony, so literally as far back as you can get. Unless they release more tickets I'm assuming it will sell out soon, like the other two Texas shows.idk wrote:i've been wondering this too so i went on to the different linked sites to buy tickets for some of the shows and there are a few that say tickets unavailable (i'm assuming sold out but the dan and phil site not updated?), some venues have less than 100 tickets (I think one of them has like 10 tickets left - and all of them are random individual seats in the middle of different rows) some have quite a few left (but not a lot) and i think there are about 1 or 2 venues that aren't doing too good sales wise - if i remember correctly? I'm sorry but no...I saw the video even if the thumbnail didn't promise something good but it was lackluster.
The idea in itself wasn't the best but it could have worked , also I didn't see the chemistry, both seemed quite tired and Hazel strange laugh didn't help. It unfortunatly seems to have been filmed only promote the tour without something to make the video funny.
Also death to the chicken toy...my only question is why did he buy it?
EDIT: tour: I don't understand why they continue to add dates, I don't have data but when they relased new dates in the UK tour did it sold well or like I understood some good seats were left?
Also, don't they dare do something like that in the EU tour, people like to know in advance where it's more convenient for them ( by people I mean me)

Haha this is amazing, I totally want to photoshop doges nose onto dans face now. New emoji coming upspider wrote:The resting doge face is strong today.
Nothing else to contribute. Carry on.
(I haven't watched the second Phil and Hazel video, mostly because Hazel annoys me and the title puts me off. I'll wait until tomorrow maybe #fakephan)
Agree that it was a bit boring video. I think it will be interesting if the marks are counted and the winner get something. When there is no competition, the video become very still and monotone (for me). Phil's USA geography is very poor considering he is going to tour there (or maybe it is just for show to make the video more interesting) but overall, a bit meh.

I agree with everythingiero wrote:idk how i feel about the new video..i read the title and was disappointed, watched it and enjoyed it more than i thought i would, but still found it underwhelming the whole video was obv spon for the tour lmao not saying that's a bad thing though, it seemed like he put effort into making it!
i like that it was an original (i think?) idea and how comfortable they seem when they make videos together, i feel like phils less persona heavy with her (which always makes a video more interesting to me.) his comment about how she drew florida gave me a laugh
It was a unashamed spon for the tour, but at least he put some effort on it and made something different. Don't think I'm watching that again, but that was some ok almost 9 minutes.
Now I'm almost over all this tour stuff. Waiting for some content where that isn't mentioned anymore, ugh

Same, I thought this was common knowledge and was puzzled as to why no one was bothered by this. I was kind of shocked the first time Dan brought it up, I was like 'you're censoring swear words but you're going to leave this in?' Like the spit roasting joke in the Donkey Kong video on the gaming channel.missemma wrote:Hahaha, I just assumed people would know what t-bagging was! he really puts so much thought in all of his videos and collabs (which probably has to do with him being very controling and a perfectionist, but i just like that a lot about him)
I really did like his and Hazel's chemistry, and he didn't feel as persona heavy, which was nice as well. Especially because it was on his own channel. I hope he keeps that up.

I always enjoy it when Dan sneaks in cheeky references not everyone will get, like when he bought up goatse (if you've never heard of it and are easily offended do not google it) and people in the YouTube comments were like "aw dan likes goats". ahem, yes okay.

That kind of reminds me of like... The third Dil video? I think, where Dan goes like "Dil is really good at tossing salad" and then just smiles at the camera.missemma wrote:I'm pretty sure Dan "I've seen all the gross things on the internet" Howell knew exactly what he was saying when he said t-bag whilst giving the camera a cheeky winkmajitzu wrote: Do D&P know the meaning, because if they do
That cheeky little shit is doing it on purpose, totally.
the spitroast joke that bedhead91 mentioned literally made me choke and then no one in the comments mentioned it. i love when he really calmly drops in something like that and just makes a face at the camera rather than "HAHA WHAT DID I JUST SAY NEVERMIND", discrete filthmissemma wrote:I always enjoy it when Dan sneaks in cheeky references not everyone will get, like when he bought up goatse (if you've never heard of it and are easily offended do not google it) and people in the YouTube comments were like "aw dan likes goats". ahem, yes okay.

Now I think that is Dan secretly acknowledging his mature viewers aka the middle age nose pervert group.jaej wrote:the spitroast joke that bedhead91 mentioned literally made me choke and then no one in the comments mentioned it. i love when he really calmly drops in something like that and just makes a face at the camera rather than "HAHA WHAT DID I JUST SAY NEVERMIND", discrete filthmissemma wrote:I always enjoy it when Dan sneaks in cheeky references not everyone will get, like when he bought up goatse (if you've never heard of it and are easily offended do not google it) and people in the YouTube comments were like "aw dan likes goats". ahem, yes okay.

I really shudder to think what Phil would have immediately associated with Mississippi.ceedeebee wrote:Not a video I will be watching again.
