Dans Halloween plans are to binge watch Stranger Things with Phil and eat snacks god bless him they’re so married.

I am also a depressed person that only leaves the house for Starbucks wow I’ve never related to Dan more.

(But seriously that weird disconnect I felt like Dan had before where his main channel vids felt forced is like gone for me now? Idk I feel like him opening up about his mental illness really reminded me of why I loved his videos to begin with and his content just feels genuine again? Still so proud lol)

Okay so the whole concept that Dan seems to have maybe alluded to, of another tour with a focus on meeting fans and seeing fans (especially those that missed out at TATINOF, from the frequency of mentions of countries they didn't get to tour recently) really excites me? I likely won't go, I struggle with events like that, but over the last year or so many Youtubers have complained about the way meet and greets function and the whole culture of Youtuber conventions etc. The two that I remember well are Sav Brown and Dodie, but I know there's others, too. And it's honestly so true. Every convention fans are being paid more and more to spend a rushed minute in the presence of their idols, and it's a very, very elite system. And whilst I understand the fee, the prices are ridiculous (especially for those with large fanbases like Dap) and the whole thing is just so, so bad. So, yeah. This maybe-tour sounds like a dream in regards to these issues, and hopefully it'll inspire other Youtubers to follow suit.

You know what, I’m glad Dan has mentioned twice now that it’s been 2 years since they did anything with the UK fans. I have moaned about that before, especially last year when they did nothing in the UK so yay for them planning something. I am sure whatever they do will be good, I have full faith in them when it comes to m&g events or a tour after tatinof and dapgo were so good! I hope it’s not that expensive and I can go to it haha!

When he was talking about tatinof Halloween being two years ago it made me question why I have been so involved in this fandom for so long, wouldn’t have it any other way though really. It also reminded me I took a sneaky video of them singing the Internet Is Here dressed as Shrek and Thor and uploaded it to my instagram. Aw the memories.

And finally, I don’t know why anyone would suggest them having 2 flats would be because they have one each. There is no way Phil sleeps in that box room. If he was going to take that flat for himself then surely he would have had the gaming room as a master bedroom as it looks bigger. I agree there is two flats as the kitchens plus other stuff make me think that 100% but one is for them and the other is for filming. I wonder if they can claim a filming flat under business expenses? That way would it be as expensive as we think? I don’t know how businesses work tbh.

That was a cute little liveshow. Such a pro leaving his charger in another room while his phone's on 12%, good job, Danny We've had a lotta content lately, though, I can't imagine what fun editing has been. Shame about their baking equipment getting thrown out with cement-like marshmallow, I had to chip dried plaster off a bowl once and it was not fun.

I get so annoyed when people tell him to go and he listens to them. I know he was about to anyway and in the past they've done it at 10pm when he usually finished too, but fgs, chasing him off his own liveshow after so many people spam to come to where they live, do we want him or not? Argh

Casual slip of "dog calendar" there, whoops, but oh well, only a day early. I noticed some older tshirts are half-price. The prints on mine are getting a little split so it's tempting to buy another of one of them (I soon realised I feel frumpy in the chibi one, but fine in the hair boobs, as if it's really more chic).

I wondered if he meant DITL, but I went to check and, as I thought, only the festive one was in December. Interesting that people have been boycotting Rewind, YT does need to actually listen. Well, they don't need to, I guess, they still make profits I suppose no matter how many careers they ruin.

Dan's "I didn't save her" game story was too real. I wonder if he'd really react like that in real life, that seemed to be what concerned him when he said he was contronted with his own mortality, I thought. We don't know until it happens, it's just a game, and the only one I've found at all tense in all of their spooky weeks. I saw IT today and jumped a few times, having thought I'd be quite scared, too fricking used to this stuff.

Amazing there are still marshmallows left. Heartbreaking threat to stop doing liveshows for a year to stop ladydoor comments, but then the wholesomeness about his depression video gets too much, none of us can win

Funny bit about the Halloween Tatinof shows in Brighton when they dressed up too, I saw it that day and it was adorable, though I actually mistook Phil as Thor for Iron Man for about 20 seconds until they said Thor

On wanting to visit more of the world, wow new touring company. Fast work I wonder what they'll come up with. The hour-long talk for DAPGOOSE worked really well, though it would have been great if it was longer, ofc, and in more than two cities in the world. At meet and greets I think they get through 100 people in an hour and are fairly quick so while it's lovely, it's over pretty fast. I interrupted Dan saying "thanks for coming" after hugs and a photo to say a few sentences, hoping it's okay because I've seen or heard of plenty of people talking too and it doesn't take that long, still at most about a minute. There'll be enough fans in some countries that they might be able to fill a 1000-seat theatre like DAPGOOSE and Tatinof so maybe they'd go for something more like that again, or maybe there's anoher way.

Sorry to take it back to apartment layouts, but I'm now convinced they have a third floor? We know the slounge, gaming room, Phils room, and most likely the kitchen from the baking vid are downstairs, and then the grey lounge,live show areas. and mini kitchen? are upstairs from there. But between Dan saying he had already taken his phone charger upstairs in this liveshow, and Phil saying he kept forgetting to take his lens wipes upstairs in the August 17th liveshow (5:20 in that show if you want to see it), I'm guessing the moon room is on a different floor than the lounge? We've only seen the one set of stairs, but there has to be more.

Unpopular opinion? I actually agree with that. Not because I don’t think deppy are a “real gay couple” but because it would be pretty uncharacteristic of them, and I don’t think they would do something like that as part of their “coming out” (not that cosplaying would mean a confirmation but some people would take it that way).

I also feel like In a Heartbeat was such a symbolic part of YouTube LGBT community that also got represented in main stream media. Because it was so important I feel like to do it justice it would be better portrayed by public, out, lgbt YouTubers who have a similiar representative role for the community. Bc even tho deppy are lgbt they’re not in the community in the same way as other youtubers (not a bad or good thing, and definitely not something that should invalidate their sexualities but still... a thing) I feel like I’m not articulating super well, so I hope this made sense.

I really think they could create some kind of D&P convention. Dan has always had views on how conventions should run, how people shouldnt have to queue all day to meet them etc so it wouldn’t surprise me if they weren’t thinking of starting one that they had full control over.

They could have a m&g area, q&a sessions, corner for spooky baking, corner for arts and crafts, meet Dil and Tabitha photobooth.....

Honestly, them doing Charlie Bit My Finger is way different from them doing In a Heartbeat.
In a Heartbeat has obvious romantic themes, like, it's about two kids who are in love, and while Charlie Bit My Finger, however close they're sitting, they're still babies and brothers and there's absolutely no romantic aspect to it.

There would definitely be some backlash unless they do come out before December. I think someone like Tyler Oakley or Connor Franta who have consistently advocated for the Lgbt community would be better accepted in that role. I don't watch Tyler often anymore but even I know how much he's been an advocate.

I would love it if Deppy did it but I'd be concerned unless certain developments happen before then.

Yes - I run a business (well I'm a self-employed sole trader) and I rent an office space but I get to claim back the expense against my tax-free allowance: so for example, say I pay about £6,500 a year in office rent, £6,500 more (than the basic tax free allowance of £11,500) of my income isn't taxable: taking my tax-free allowance to £18,000 and saving me about £1,300 on my tax bill.

So since D&P are definitely on a higher tax bracket than me, if they're renting a second flat for business purposes, it's saving them either 40% or 45% of the cost of the rent on their tax bill, effectively making the flat about half as expensive as it 'should' be, whilst giving them extra storage space they needed anyway, and more options for places to film.
