I've been asked to help out and have been crunching the numbers for a while now, and the results look very promising and interesting, and I'm looking forward to sharing them For example, respondents who are active in forums are on average two years older than the rest of the phandom, and people who send premium messages on YouNow are significantly younger than those who do not.
That's so cool! I'm glad to see when they started watching vs. opinions on phan/original sexuality opinion, since those are the ones I'm most curious about.
I wish there were a way to compare the answers for people who took the survey in 2015 and 2017, but unfortunately that's not really possible. Shame, I know my answers changed between the two times I took it.
I agree, longitudinal studies are super interesting but a pain in the ass to set up and maintain, especially without funds.

I'm not sure if it's already on the list (I searched for it, but couldn't find it), but the correlation between "Which channel did you discover first" and "whose content do you prefer" could be interesting?
Oh, and do you know when the first results will be published (approximately)?
I can add that! I sent the first batch of results back yesterday (everything related to age of respondents), but I don't know how long writing/formatting the post will take.

Yes! I feel like they have completely forgotten Dream Daddy. I just checked and their last one was on September 12th, that's almost two months ago now... And it still hasn't reached 1 million views I hope they don't abandon it, I liked it.
Was just thinking the same. The last DD was the best one so far and was really enjoyable - it's a shame it hasn't reached the million views like so many of the shorter, single games I feel invested in the series and really want to see how the dates with the other dads work out. I hope they don't quietly ditch it.

If they do gamingmas this year, it might be a good thing for them to have up their sleeve; they could finish the game in one sitting and then split it into parts and be able to have a lot of freebie days where they don't need to actually film anything because they've got that banked.
Just adding my vote for Dream Daddy, I’ve been hoping they’ll continue and finish it. I hadn’t noticed the lower view count, but it was so good. I was loving Damien’s storyline and their take on everything.
Slightly off topic from the dream daddy discussion but, I've been thinking about phil going to Florida. I'm pretty sure that's happening in a few days. I was going thought this app that shows me what happened a year ago today on my social media and he apparently was already in flordia today last year. And martyn was already there for about a week.
Honestly, am I the only one that thinks the November flordia trip is immediate family only? Like no S/O or anyone else but the four of them?? Because it really does seem like that.
Anyways tl dr: phil will probably leave for flordia in a few days. A selfish part of me wants him to do a live show before he goes because he hasn't done one by himself in over three weeks!

I haven't even watched any of the dream daddy vids yet (whoops @ that lower view count) because I don't trust them with a series (well, of games with an actual end unlike something like the sims). I'm not getting invested until I know they actually finish it and I'm too whiny to wait several months between eps of something. dizzy's gamingmas idea makes sense though so I look forward to bingeing the entirety of their dd series sometime in 2018 maybe.
I would love for them to post another episode of Dream Daddy before anything Sims related, I feel like the fandom was so hyped when they started it but they might have not liked it as much. I get it, it's a long storyline to play and a lot of reading, but they wasted so much time in the first 2 episodes and the third one was when they truly kicked in and now it's Been 2 months. I would love for them to play it live like Markiplier did but they seem to be steering towards more "action" games for livestreams so I doubt they would.
Speaking of videos, we've had such a packed week of content yet I'm already craving more, am i the only one? They've also been kinda quiet, Dan hasn't tweeted since the dog calendar video, usually that means he's working on a video but it seems unlikely since we got the baking video only Monday.
I wonder what they're up to. This is when I miss liveshows, they're truly the way to have a peak into their daily lives, even if very filtered. Maybe they're busy prefilming videos for when Phil goes to Florida? I wonder how long he'll stay, I reckon last year it wasn't that much with the DAPGOOSE event in LA then the Dublin show then BONCAs, but maybe I remember wrong.
Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.
I hope they don't abandon it either! I much prefer it over the sims episodes which have gotten so stale. I've been secretly wishing for Dil to die in a fire already It's to bad they play so few series, otherwise they might have finally found a replacement yet. I'm still hoping that they'll play another board game to sometime. It's time for something new for DAPGames. There's to much spon and sims on the channel and not enough good games I wish they rebranded it to either more of a general "Dan and Phil do activities together" channel (because I watch for them and not for the games anyway) or that they treated it as more of an actual gaming channel with fewer casual games.

Oh my god, I can't even fathom how amazing that would be. I'm fully in love with Safiya, the idea of her and Phil doing anything together is just too much.

I can see that happening. She and Phil don't exactly make the same type of content, but they both have quirky personalities and I can see them getting along well and playing off each other well in a collab. Plus I love both of them!

I'm hoping that this will be one of Dan and Phil's vidcon collabs next year. (honestly can I even wait that long)
soooo someone bumped up the brightness and i'm not sure if it's just me but i immediately thought thoose were palm trees in the background. i think it's highly unlike that they're all in florida but it did make me a bit

I don't really see it, the leaves don't quite look like the right shape to be palm trees. Plus, I'm pretty sure the sparklers were with Bryony, right? I don't think Bryony would be on the Lester family vacation
