Putting thoughts under wraps because I am out-of-sync with the current topic, but I've just finished 2+ threads and have nowhere else to share my d+p opinions.
Phil w/ Hazel vs Hazel w/ Phil

Preferred TipsyTalk to naming the states. But neither was radically creative or significant. I laughed, but I won't rewatch either, because honestly the highlight of the states vid was a penis joke, and the highlight of tipsy was death is scary. I find Hazel manipulative and passive aggressive, and very smart, but manipulative people always are.

Whirlpool of Dan

Personally I find Dan less filtered than Phil, not a bad thing, not a good thing, its' a personality and/or dinof character thing. And even if you favor one over the other, doesn't mean you are in any way similar to them. They may be my favorite youtubers, but neither is in any way above the curve when compared to any other ytuber. D+P are from the same cloth, fabric and greed as the gleam crew. And that is me being my most honest with myself, even if I do take part in their defense squads. Their approach may differ, but the intent is the same.

though their synchronized 'what' and 'uhhh' were funny and maybe even cute.

Signatures

I envy the moniters of the people who saw something/anything in those images of 'the rules' and hate to rehash, but I think it would be very wise to have different types of signatures. Make fraud less easy.

Radio Show (sort of)

I've been hoping that they would go into podcasting, claiming that because they've done a radio show, it would be a good next avenue, but I've changed my mind, I hope they'd stick to radio, having the distraction of music playing and short bursts of chat suit them both. Wondering if they've ever been involved in a situation where they have to talk nonstop for an hour? without relying on others, ie being a host. Also never believed they were offered the bbc r1 morning show (that grimshaw has) no way in any au universe would the bbc offer that post to two nobodies with no experience. I know Dan said so, but something got lost in translation or he plain out lied.

The more I look at it the more I don't like it...shading is hard. Anyway, I think I bit off a bit more than I could chew but I really really love the concept so I just had to draw it. It was actually really nice to do some art...I used to do art all the time in high school but then I kind of stopped.

PHIL'S INTERESTING TUMBLR LIKES

Lest I be accused of playing favorites (even though I totally do play favorites; I'm sorry), I decided to go through all of Phil's Tumblr likes and pick out the ones I found interesting for one reason or another. I feel like looking back on these, the ones I deemed "interesting" are mainly the ones that involve Dan, but c'est la vie.

As I said the other night, the majority of Phil's likes are really good phanart of him, generally 1) wishing him happy birthday or 2) congratulating his channel or the gaming channel on some subscriber milestone. If you scroll back far enough, there are a lot of drawing-game related ones (like, he liked people's drawings).

Some differences I noticed between Dan and Phil's likes:

• There's nothing really sexual to be found in Phil's likes...
• ...although there are hints that Phil is not so innocent
• Phil likes a lot more phanart than Dan does
• Phil's likes have no strong "no-homo" bent in 2012 (though there may be a slight one, as he liked a few posts overtly about female attraction)

I couldn't be bothered to organize them, sorry!
