Jeweul, just imagine 6 of them together reminded me of modern family. Makes me want to make them into a TV show. Ahhh just imaging that gives me life.
corn flakes, underage porn?!
ohhh yeah! I participated in that . That's where my old avatar on gg was from (rip). That'd really be a shame if they didn't see my gorgeous "Dan as pork and chive dumplings"flarequake wrote: I hear there's a whole book of DnP-as-food art being submitted since they said they can't take gifts. I never really understand your old avatar until you explained it? Why pork and chive dumpling?daphenaxa wrote:ohhh yeah! I participated in that . That's where my old avatar on gg was from (rip). Sorry.

Sorry.
It took me three whole minutes to generate that .gif yesterday, I'm getting my use out of it!!!
Awww, that's so sweet.daphenaxa wrote:lol for that book I did an entire menu for dan.
Like cocktail: margarita, starter: spicy green papaya salad, main: pork and chive dumplings and dessert: grand marnier soufflé.
the dumplings is because he reminds me of comfort food. Warm and filling and so good. (and pork and chive is my fav). Something that makes you happy and satisfied but at the same time it is quite simple, not very sophisticated at all. For me it's also a dish that you share so it reminds me of the community around him and this forum too.

oh yeah I can see that. It suits him very well too. I like the layers in flavours analogy as I agree he has more layers and subtlety than he is usually willing to show. (that's why I chose the dessert soufflé for him).akui wrote:Awww, that's so sweet.daphenaxa wrote:lol for that book I did an entire menu for dan.

For me he's more like a classic saseme tangyuan, nice and pure looking out side, black inside, but taste sweet, but not too sweet, mushy in texture and layers in flavour.
I think they probs have filmed either another triple collab for her channel or two collabs just wtih Phil and that's why he didn't retweet. Really weird he didn't tho. Could be Phil didn't like the vid :3alittledizzy wrote:Within a week, the Not Worth Watching with Dan and Phil is Louise's second most viewed video in the past six months (behind her Christmas present exchange with Zoe).
It hasn't hit a million yet, but at this rate it'll be on the first page of her most popular videos within another week or two. (And Phil never even tweeted it or retweeted it, did he?)
Her prank calls video with Dan is her second highest viewed main channel video ever. No wonder she wanted to do multiple videos with them when she showed up.

It's so interesting. Like she did a really good NWW with Caspar Lee (who's arguably a bigger YT name than even Dan is if you just go by numbers) & Jack Howard and that hasn't hit a million in the year it's been up. Her D&P one will be there within a week.alittledizzy wrote:Within a week, the Not Worth Watching with Dan and Phil is Louise's second most viewed video in the past six months (behind her Christmas present exchange with Zoe).

oqua wrote:Hey guys! This is totally random, but as I mentioned a couple days ago, I'm working on organizing all of Dan and Phil's Dailybooths. I've compiled all the Wayback machine links and decent-quality versions of all the photos. Now I'm working on adding in typed-up versions of all the captions and comments. (It's basically what Phandirectory has, except better versions of some photos, plus ALL the comments, plus it's all searchable.)
For now, here's Phil's first Dailybooth. Enjoy!
Obviously I'll post all the rest in giant posts later on, but I just wanted to whet your palettes. Also, if you have any feedback on the formatting, let me know now so I can take it into consideration.
(For example, I've been considering making Dan and Phil's names red in the comments. Or maybe making all interesting people red, like Catrific, Tyler Oakley, charlieskies, etc., etc. Thoughts?)

Hazel’s first collab with Phil is also in her top 10 of most watched video. Kind of crazy. It really does show just how powerful and dedicated their viewers are.phamnotof wrote:It's so interesting. And like, Hazel's collab with Phil is her second most viewed video ever already, and is gonna be the biggest one really soon - and she went from being stuck at around 175k followers to hitting 200k within a week of them uploading it.
It's like, no wonder D&P are rather selective about who they collab with & only seem to pick the people they like, because they really do draw a really unlikely crowd, once you'd let the vultures on on that... It also has to be a really weird position to be in, like they're just about the most commonly used clickbait on the whole of YT.
Dread to think how many times they have ignored a request from Evan to collab. (most recent the Valentines video of course)pearshaped34 wrote:I do wonder how often Dan and Phil get requests for collabs that they decline or ignore (probably more often then either of them will ever admit).

Yeah they'd never talk about declining them, for one because naming names would be bad etiquette but also just because people on youtube tend to try and paint collabs as these things that happen organically because a friend came around and oh look hey a camera let's just film a video! (I think Dan and Phil are both admirably open about how that works in livestreams but livestreams are their smallest audience, it's probably a safe bet that anyone invested enough to be watching that is not a casual viewer and already has an idea of how it works.)Kathrynxjane wrote:Dread to think how many times they have ignored a request from Evan to collab. Dan is much more selective on who he wants to collab with but he is getting better. If you were a Youtuber, of course you want to collab with D&P. The amount of views from Phandom members may make it your best video in years. Dan and Phil both know this so that is why, they only choose select people to collab with.
I can think of, but not find (dammit!) a liveshow clip where Dan gives 0 fucks about shooting down the suggestion of doing a collab with Emma...alittledizzy wrote:Yeah they'd never talk about declining them, for one because naming names would be bad etiquetteKathrynxjane wrote:Dread to think how many times they have ignored a request from Evan to collab. I would hope they wouldn't ignore requests, that seems rude (and some would take that as an excuse for constant mithering!) maybe a polite "thanks, but sorry, not at the moment" type response.
Great work oqua.daphenaxa wrote:oqua wrote:Also I think you should create a "phan bible" thread or something like that (equivalent of the old faqs but better) where we could store all things like that. Felucca and I are currently working on making a new-and-improved FAQ thread, but I like the idea of making another thread for more compilation-type stuff, like this, the Formspring stuff, the customer service blog stuff, the Tumblr likes, etc.!SquishPhan wrote:Great work oqua.daphenaxa wrote:Also I think you should create a "phan bible" thread or something like that (equivalent of the old faqs but better) where we could store all things like that. And I agree that it would be best if these topics have their own thread. That makes it more accessible and organized.
