I do wonder how often Dan and Phil get requests for collabs that they decline or ignore (probably more often then either of them will ever admit).

Dread to think how many times they have ignored a request from Evan to collab. (most recent the Valentines video of course)

Dan is much more selective on who he wants to collab with but he is getting better. If you were a Youtuber, of course you want to collab with D&P. The amount of views from Phandom members may make it your best video in years. Dan and Phil both know this so that is why, they only choose select people to collab with.

Yeah they'd never talk about declining them, for one because naming names would be bad etiquette

I can think of, but not find (dammit!) a liveshow clip where Dan gives 0 fucks about shooting down the suggestion of doing a collab with Emma...

I would hope they wouldn't ignore requests, that seems rude (and some would take that as an excuse for constant mithering!) maybe a polite "thanks, but sorry, not at the moment" type response.

Also I think you should create a "phan bible" thread or something like that (equivalent of the old faqs but better) where we could store all things like that. (like the t-shirt post and the tumblr likes post that you did too ) because otherwise it will get lost in the main thread.

wow really? I got such an ugly stomach feeling from it - granted, just watched ten minutes of it following the Emma bit), but it made me feel so umcomfortable. I don't think he's ever really PG on his liveshows, but being used mostly the 2015/2016 ones where he's either a happy bunny or a tired puppy, this felt beyond unhappy. Like I do think that there are some good jokes in there, even just from what I watched, but I felt like they were coming from a rather angry place. Uber-sarcasm seems to be one of Dan's main coping mechanisms. But it's interesting that you see it that differently, I might try watching more of it later to see if I change my mind.

Agreed, it's one of my favorite Dan liveshows ever. Yeah, he's kind of caustic at certain points, but overall he seems to be in a very honest and open mood it's just so entertaining from beginning to end. As dapenaxa says...so many little gems!!

Like the part at 25:50 where he talks about how he'd love to go to Japan one day.
It's like the sweetest thing ever. I'm so glad he got to go with Phil.

idk, I love that liveshow, he seems really open, but I think he's also better at liveshows when he has really strong emotions. So, while I think he was definitely pissed off during that ls, he also made better content at that point, and I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. A lot of gems in that liveshow, but doesn't mean he isn't pissed off. Just my two cents, haha

Also I love Dan's old ls. My favourite ones are the one with a lot of youtubers, the halloween one and Phil one when they have Jack and Dean in their house recording for hours.

He didn't seem very angry to me in the ls, i just always think he didn't care so much back then about who he offended. He's very careful these days to not say anything that could be understood as offensive by fans. Can you imagine him saying "Fuck off and don't be a creepy stalker" these days? At most we get a "please don't stalk me" that's even made to sound like a joke.
I like that he cares and is so self aware, but the old liveshows are refreshing.

I hope a lot of youtubers watch tatinof at playlist and i hope they vlog it. Hazel is going to playlist i think. She's friendly with them, so i think we have a chance of seeing her go to tatinof in her monthly vlog. Who else vlogs? I think Joey, Cat, and that's about all i can think of

I don't think he's pissed in that LS, he just really is at zero fucks and isn't sugar coating anything. I think it's delightfully honest and real and what you get when he responds as a human adult would to the pestering questions, instead of a brand machine. Louise is going. Also Crank That Frank is there and he's a Phan Stan so he'll probably try to get footage of them even though he almost certainly won't actually get to hang out with them. (The same goes for Evan E I guess)

Yeah I think that's kind of how artists work, they tend to produce better work when they have strong emotions, negative or positive. (did i just called Dan an artist?)
