This Sims video was definitely the funniest by far, for me. I was laughing so hard when Tabitha was playing the guitar and Dil was glaring at the back of her head and when Phil choked/coughed.

At 18:24 I could've sworn Phil said shit but I rewatched and it was ship.

Ugh when his hair got pushed back.I wish they went to a close up of their faces. He looked fecking good there

Anyway. Great Dil Video. I like when they are completely unplanned. The fire than the abduction. They didn't know how to handle both so it made for a great episode.

I didn't realise that they brought abduction to The Sims 4 but I am glad that did. Would have been better by the sounds of it if it was Dil. That would have been funny.

Going to watch it again in the morning when I am not asleep and can really listen to the #bants :gg:

Changed my signature in honor of the latest Dil video. :) Thought it was funny, though I think they are truly milking the series at this point. C'mon guys, you know that everyone just wants to see Dil and Tabitha get married and have a kid.

i love when people make use of the more bizarre aspects of the sims rather than just going to park and having kids. even if it was a complete accident. cant female sims get alien pregnant too though? dan looked too, i live for the way he keeps his hair shorter now. and i love when he pushes it back, he's my massive forehead/terrible hairline twin. and, unpopular opinion, i love it when he just shrieks for no reason, it makes me laugh a lot

someone let him know on twitter haha Loved this video. Their reactions were priceless to the fire and then the abduction. Plus, dan's hair

Nope, I want to see Tabitha run off with the mailman and Dil can finally hit up Preston and they can become mad scientists together. I don't want anyone to have kids because teaching them to walk/talk/potty is the most tedious shit ever, don't even get me started on their dumb homework. If Dil does end up with a kid I hope social services takes it away . If anything they should get a pet expansion (does that exist in S4 yet) and adopt a dog to live out their pet goals vicariously through Dil.
Thanks and have a great day! Oil me

I'm not done, but good episode so far!
A couple things:
Loved everything that happened with Phil around 9:20

Does it bother anyone else when Dan calls Tabitha a hoe? (around 10:10). He did it last Sims episode also, and I just find it rather gross. Whatever, he can just be problematic sometimes (b4 anyone gets on my case about being sjw, its more that it just bothers me. Hoe is a bit of a slur, and I just don't like to see people, or animated people, referred to in that disrespectful way)

They won't make any huge progression with Dils relationship if tatinof's story is still the same. Maybe after tour, how long does a sim live tho?

I don't find it particularly offensive in the context he used the word. It's like how people call other people bitch affectionately/in a non-serious way. He wasn't actually slut shaming but I guess words like 'hoe' and 'bitch' can still sound offensive no matter the context?

Yeah, I suppose I'm just not used to the word, so in any context I find it jarring.

I'm in the middle of writing a post on the episode and this is one of the comments I made in it. Instead I'll just comment here:

Yes, it bothers me quite a bit. Dan's come a long way in the past seven years (at least he no longer makes rape jokes or claims to be black), but he still has a ways to go. The "hoe" comment stuck out to me last episode and it stuck out to me this episode, and it rubbed me the wrong way both times.

Honestly I don't think context matters much. Plus, if I'm not mistaken doesn't he call her a "stupid hoe"? That makes it almost worse, imo.

I just did a rewatch after calming down.

When the fire breaks out, Dan is absolutely relax and find the whole thing funny before Phil told him their sims might die. And then he just went full panic. That was super funny.

I love it when Tabitha was abducted, Dan become absolutely speechless and panics, while Phil's solution to the problem is to call the police. And then, he hopes Dil gets abducted too so that he doesn't have to be alone.

I think this is the best sims episode so far. It is going to be tough to top this one for the next sims episodes.

I love all the bants. Good video, much fun, very laughter

Anytime it happens I sort of pause for a quick second, so I understand. I don't really think much about it/have many opinions on it, but it does catch my attention. I don't know if you've had the same experience, but I've seen lots of groups of girlfriends hanging around always jokingly calling each other hoe, so that's always the context I put it in. Idk, there's my two cents.
I was gonna make a trash post about Dan pushing his hair back, but it turns out I don't need to and you guys are way ahead of me on that one. I'm not even a Dan thirster but every now and then I get caught off guard by how attractive he is. (The thing is with the pushed back hair, too, it's not even that I think it's a better hairstyle for him, I'm just always surprised/attracted to things that differ from the norm. Sort of how when people who wear suits all the time wear casual clothes for once, it feels more attractive, and then when casual-dressers wear suits, that's attractive as well? I don't know if I'm making sense, but yep.)

Alright, enough of me going on about talking about people being attractive.

I love love love it when they lose control of the sims. I think I still enjoy the series more than a lot of people on here, but I'll admit that over half the episodes are very planned, "let's schedule out this day perfectly, go to work and talk to friends and go to sleep, what a lovely conclusion" sort of deal. But THIS episode, the fire, the aliens, the fact they went in with a very-planned goal and everything got screwed up for them and they were genuinely worried. I like to think a lot of the panic comes from "well we just potentially ruined this series." (That sounded way more sadistic than intended.)

Yeah, it irks me a bit, and I can't put my finger on why, especially since I use the word "bitch," both when I'm mad at someone (really only one someone in my life, as I do recognize its implications) and both as a term of endearment (again, though, for really only one person in my life). It makes me kind of "ehhhh" and so I wasn't going to bring it up but I will say I agree with you.
I used to be in the 1D fandom (lol) and Niall called someone the c-word (a fan?), and people were saying it is not as offensive/has different connotations in Ireland. I don't know how true this is and I don't think it applies as there's little difference between how I, someone in the US, and Dan use the word hoe, but that thought has also always stopped me from commenting on it haha

I'll admit it caught me off guard when Dan called Tabitha a hoe, and it seemed random when he did it. But in the context he did it I personally didn't find it offensive. That's just my opinion obvs.

Question for those who were offended by the 'hoe' comment: out of curiosity, does it also bother you when he says the word bitch? Bitch was originally a word used as an insult for women but much like 'hoe', now people use it for everyone. Maybe the reason 'hoe' sounds more offensive is because it isn't used as often as 'bitch' is (especially in some countries/areas)? Just an idea.

And I think he said 'silly hoe' but yeah.

i didn't think much of the hoe thing because i've never heard it in a serious context before here? idk, i thought of it like when he said thot, it's not really used here so it doesn't hold much weight (to the speaker or the situation) when it's used in a joke about a fictional character but idk.

I would say offended, for me, is too strong of a term. I'm just caught off-guard, a bit ":/", and wondering if he uses the word "hoe" as a descriptor for other women. Like, tabitha is not real, so I do feel silly even thinking about it, but I can't decide if its out of affection for her or precisely because she is a computer game character that he feels like it is funny to say it.

In both episodes, Dan says "stinky hoe". I'm not sure it that makes it any better :-?

Especially considering Dil came home from work in similar filth and no similar commentary.

Oh, i never even notice whenever he use that word. I'm not from an english speaking country so i'm not really aware of this. I mean, i know it used to be a slur, but i thought people use it like the word 'bitch' now. It comes up normally on tumblr so often too, so i never thought of anything. Not to mention because of the 'hoe don't do it' meme. Thanks for educating me guys.

edit: i feel like i see how everyone use 'hoe don't do it' meme every damn time it somehow become normalized in my eyes. maybe dan was like that too. idk.

you pin-pointed exactly how i felt about it, but i couldn't find the words. i'm not offended or in any way angry that he used it here, because tabitha isn't real. that would just be dumb. but it does make me wonder what other situations he uses that word in, as clearly it comes naturally to him. it was a bit off-putting, but meh. say watchu want to ya sims, dan~
