But if we assume the definition of #busgate is IDBs hunt for bus info at the beginning of the tour and not the bed situation why does it qualify as both an anti-Phan moment and best D&P lie?

IDBs hunting down the layout didn't prove they lied about the bus layout they said they had one room and as far as we know there was. The part we thought was a lie was them claiming Phil slept in the double bed alone which makes the lie (and the anti-phan moment) #bedgate doesn't it?

I dunno, i'm confused too. I didn't think bedgate was that widely used because every time i read that word i though it said busgate. What you wrote makes sense and was my thoughts after i posted my previous explanation. I don't know why they and the rock-paper-scissors battle weren't combined into one category. It makes sense to combine because they are so similar. I think most people meant the nohomo bed debacle when they said busgate for best deppy lie. I wonder if the mods had any solid definitions for the terms or if they just put in the official nominations the words people used when nominating. Either way i find the inclusion of both terms odd.
