Fuck it. Let's do it. We need a project to keep us entertained during the 2nd half of TATINOF and the downtime afterwards (don't kid yourselves, you know it'll happen!)hunnyftw wrote:You may be joking but in an AU where IDB's bantz and more serious discussions were to be published I'd buy that stuff in a flash! We could write a better magazine than that and make millions from it - apparently all you need to do is trawl social media!
+1 here too. I'd say most of the people invested in / online enough to be watching their Sims series would know what Grindr/dating apps in general are, regardless of age/sexual orientation.hunnyftw wrote:*raises hand* straight person here and I defnitely have heard of grindr, so +1 for spaceguitar here. I think you might be underestimating the amount of useless trivia knowledge an average internet user acquires, regardless of that person being LGBT+ or not.eevee wrote:Grindr hookup...I feel like not too many people outside the LGBT+ community know what grindr is to be honest, my straight girlfriends don't know what it is. *shrug* I know about grindr as a bisexual girl but that's because I have some gay friends, I've had people ask them what grindr is. I guess it depends on how internet savvy you are and what circles you're in?

We definitely could write something better/more interesting, and I'd be on board but idk if we'd be risking copyright claims and angry DM's in the process?IckleMissMayhem wrote:Fuck it. Let's do it. Yeah, all of this grindr discussion just proves that we all have different trivia knowledge and varying internet experiences. Nothing new, tbh
Anyway,
I think I'm feeling the downtime now. Bored of the tour and I really want it to end sooner rather than later. Granted, the M&G pictures are great but it's a very repetitive experience: turn on the Internet to see what's new in the D&P world only to find out that nothing's new, watch some cute M&G photos, read some bantz from other equally bored people trying to entertain themselves, turn off the Internet, hope for some videos the next day... well. Sorry for being grupmy and first-world-problemy all of the sudden. I blame IckleMiss for reminding me of it
Anyway,

On a more serious note I'd love to see a magazine publish a more serious article about someone and have actual facts and know what the audience of that someone want. A little time dedicated to it would do wonders.
Well, we could cobble together a few pages from bits of the "Compilations" subfolder... chuck in a couple of in depth TATINOF reviews, maybe a suitably analysis of a random video, a catch up of Dil and Toto, Houseplant-watch, and bish bash bosh GET IT OUT ON THE SHELVES!Poe wrote:We really need to start this projectIckleMissMayhem wrote:Fuck it. That already sounds a lot better than what SHOUT magazine publishes. What even was the point of that "article"? Would D&P have that much effect on sales to the waste money and space on that? I never bought those kind of mags when I was that age so I don't know if that would do it for me.
actions speak louder than words
i used to buy all of those magazines religiously when i was 11-14 i liked the posters and the occasional free nail polish

I think it's because have indeed an effect on the sales, and those kind of magasines use all the same techniques to sell, either they create very cringey fake interviews of famous teen celebrities or they do useless articles like this one.

In the times of my early teenage obsession with Tokio Hotel (no regrets) I'd buy any magazine with them on the cover and take it home heart aflutter, even if all I'd be getting was a three line bubble of recent news. However, that was before the Internet became what it is now, and with D&P online presence not sure how much they would affect sales

I feel like very dedicated (and most of the time young) fans would buy anything that have the faces of their "idols" (idk if we can call idols)gnostic wrote:In the times of my early teenage obsession with Tokio Hotel (no regrets) I'd buy any magazine with them on the cover and take it home heart aflutter, even if all I'd be getting was a three line bubble of recent news. One post above you is a girl orgasmic over getting wet paper out of Phil's mouth. I am pretty sure we can call anything and it wouldn't be an exaggerationNarrysCanary wrote:I feel like very dedicated (and most of the time young) fans would buy anything that have the faces of their "idols" (idk if we can call idols)gnostic wrote:In the times of my early teenage obsession with Tokio Hotel (no regrets) I'd buy any magazine with them on the cover and take it home heart aflutter, even if all I'd be getting was a three line bubble of recent news. I'm wondering if the girl is going to keep the paper forever
She might try to create some clones with his saliva or something
