Same lol I was a bit 'meh' on the possibility that it really could be him, but now that we have a confirmation that it's not the case I'm here laughing my ass off. Still can't believe the song almost reached top 10, amazing!Diyes_Celine wrote:Now that it's confirmed that Dan didn't put that song in iTunes I am no longer mad and no longer care. Those who have money to spare can continue buying that thing. It'll be so funny (and insulting to real artist) if it tops the hip hop chart. Haha
I think this is Phil's way of . I'm pretty sure Dan was bombarded of tweets/messages regarding that iTunes issue the moment the phandom noticed it so they were already dealing with it.majitzu wrote:I can imagine Dan dealing with it while Phil plays Mario Kart, althought he probable helped.
I have laugh with Dan's tweets
This is great
Shitty Watercolour is really on it.majitzu wrote:I can imagine Dan dealing with it while Phil plays Mario Kart, althought he probable helped.

Woohoo!!! Go Dan! Now we just need someone to tip the tabloids. For someone who doesn't like drama, really has the worst luck.corn flakes wrote:Now I'm
Diyessaw some twitter replies where he is 12th, did he manage to break the top 10?

Showing up like that for me too, but it is doing it to other Youtubers as well so I'm guessing it is just a social blade glitch.Catallena wrote:Dan's RYC video has already broken 2M viewsIt will surpass his last four videos in views in the next day(s) I guess. He's getting closer and closer to 6M subscribers as well.

btw there's nothing listed under Network / Claimed By on SocialBlade for either of them anymore? Or is this just my browser fucking with me? or has this been brought up already I'm so good at keeping up with this place wow
Yeah I see now, nothing interesting then.visiblelurker wrote:Showing up like that for me too, but it is doing it to other Youtubers as well so I'm guessing it is just a social blade glitch.Catallena wrote:Dan's RYC video has already broken 2M viewsIt will surpass his last four videos in views in the next day(s) I guess. The frickin' heat has killed half of my purple petunias this week... I feels.SquishPhan wrote:Wow Martyn the plant killer. RIPbee wrote: Martyn has now killed Cornelia's plants too. Sad
At first I thought it was a bit too much that Phil blamed his brother, but I can now see he was justified.
No, I feel kind of bad for them, too. As soon as I saw it, I thought a fan put it up as a joke... didn't realise the legal ramifications immediately. Kids on the internet try a lot of stupid stunts for attention (not saying everything they do online is for attention, but you know what I mean). I think maybe whoever put it up did it as an inside joke with friends ... i.e. "I'm going to put Dan's diss track on iTunes just for kicks; maybe it'll beat Kanye lmao." But yeah, if it was a fan, they definitely didn't think through the consequences of impersonating Dan and uploading a stolen song to iTunes for money. Like, you can get sued for that kind of stuff.pixlexia wrote:Re: itunes
Am I the only one that feels kind of bad for whoever put it up? Obviously shame on them and that's a bad thing to do, and if their goal was to really profit from it then yeah, that's bad and horrible on a lot of different levels and they kind of deserve the backlash. Alternatively, I can't help but think this could potentially just be some teenage kid who didn't know any better and was just trying to pull a funny joke that they thought everyone would laugh at, but now they're getting lawyers threatened at them.
I don't know, I'm horrible about always sympathizing both sides of any situation. Someone feel free to convince me not to feel bad for them.

I don't think that's harsh. If someone has been making actual money off of this that's not a prank it's fraud.teamug wrote:itunes:
Whoever it is, whatever their age, don't care. They're selling something that 1. isn't theirs to sell. 2. Dan said (albeit in a liveshow that would not be broadcast throughout the phandom) that people could download it off the video for free, and if anyone wanted it, he gave his premission to do so, and that recording could then be shared I assume. 3. Perhaps not all, but a number of those who bought the 'single' on itunes, probably did so believing they were supporting Dan, not some 'prankster for profit'. Can they receive refunds due to fraud?
Apparently I'm feeling very harsh today. oh well.
Totally agree - whoever this is planned to make some money off of it. If it was just a prank they could have put it on itunes for free. I don't feel sorry for people who commit fraud.teamug wrote:itunes:
