Dan & Phil Part 40: We like the cock

i have a question, pls dont get mad at me guys ;w; is it bad if i watch dan's ls but not phil's? i do look at the timestamps and mentions for phil's ls tho. i feel bad for watching one and not the other..

NO, obviously this is not acceptable behaviour - a true member of the Cool Phans Only Club would watch ALL of their content, have read tabinof at least 19 times, been to tatinof 10 times, and pray at their Dan and Phil shrine twice a day complete with exactly 2009 candles (not 2012 candles because that's the Bad Number!!!! never mention it!!!!). If you don't do this, you don't really like Dan and Phil and the phandom bouncer will throw you out into the cold, dark street where you belong, you filthy animal.

In all seriousness though ofc it's totally fine if you don't watch it. you're allowed to have personal preferences, we're all in the same trash can after all. Personally I also don't watch Phil's liveshows as often as Dan's just because his are at 6am here lmao.

Tbh, I watch Dan's liveshows because I find them interesting and him entertaining (I've always been a bit of a dangirl...don't shoot me), and although I do watch Phil's for the same reasons, I am less inclined to so because his are even earlier in the morning for me, and I'm not an early bird. But daylight saving time is also a factor: in my summer, Dan is at 8 am and Phil is at 7 am, but in my winter, Dan is at 6 am and Phil is at 5 am (owwww). Last winter, I watched only Dan's shows live because Phil's were at 4 am!!!

Not treating D&P exactly the same way, or watching one's liveshows but not the other's definitely doesn't make you any less of a fan. Like Dan said in , 'You hold whatever space for Dan and Phil in your mind that you want.'

Seems like the opposite for me! Watching Phil's liveshow reminds me why I'm always first and foremost a Phil fan. He's gotten more willing to make innuendos and demonstrate some maturity in that sense, and discuss his opinions on various things which I like. But he still retains that carefree, easy going type of vibe in his liveshows. People compliment him and he just says "thank you" etc. - there's no over-obsessing over anything or being hyper-aware of his content "quality" etc. which I find so tiring when watching Dan's liveshows (sorry). This is the kind of chat I need!

I'm a pathetic fake phan, I never watch either I think that it is a matter of preference, and there are times where I have watched Dan's liveshow and left out of sheer boredom. In the case of even the Summer drought where they had that double liveshow, I only read the timestamps. I've a short attention span, I WILL walk away from something

I'm a relatively new fan (18 months or so) and have been regularly watching both their live shows since they came back from the US tour. I'm in the UK so the timings are good for me most weeks. I'm fond of Dan and Phil pretty equally but tend to enjoy Dan's shows a bit more because he usually speaks first on the subjects of the week and Phil often chats about the same subjects with the same opinions!

Something I've been wondering (apologies if it's been covered in a previous thread) but why does Phil tend to do a shorter ls than Dan?

Their liveshows are perfect timing for me. I am lucky enough to work somewhere that I can easily watch stuff during the day, and their liveshows hit at 2 and 3 pm. It's like the perfect afternoon entertainment. I do enjoy Phil's more than Dan's, but it's just because with Dan's I feel like I need to steel myself for some potential emotional turmoil every week... and even on weeks where he's perfectly cheerful, I don't know that until it's over so I still go into it sort of bracing myself. Phil's is just a dose of pure enjoyment.

Phil's liveshows are one of the peeks of my week, his voice is so soothing, calm yet cheerful, he is always so content and happy, telling us his silly stories to make us laugh, making animal noises to cheer us up, I definitely love Phil's liveshows, unfortunately most of the time I cant watch it since im doing my internship at that exact time (why did he change it from sunday ) but when I do get to watch it i get so excited i cant even focus completely on him cos I start ranting about him.

Dan's LS make me laugh but also make me anxious, also i have to mute it on the music section cos he can get too ...jack presumptions about his taste. He is also hella loud, but i do still watch his ls when I get the chance since we can see the other side of the coin.

So yes I do think its okay to enjoy one liveshow over the other, but its actually hard to skip on either if the time-stamps weren't available since both their liveshows consist of snippets of the other one too. Shows how much they are intricated in each-others lives that in an hour (40+ min for philly) chat every week they mention each other for at least 14 times or so.

I loved how he just flat out said NO to Supernatural. Nothing against the show but I really just don't like when people force something to Deppy when they clearly don't like it *nail polish*.

If they dont wanna use nail polish or dan play the piano, please freaking respect it, its one thing to enjoy it and just say you enjoy it or wish they did it, and another thing to basically put them on the spot to do it. (Im talking to you girl that carries black nail polish every time you visit london in case you bump into them)

Phil is right on all counts: everyone should watch Buffy; you do have to get past the praying mantis; and "Hush" and "Once More with Feeling" are the best episodes.

Of course, "Buffy" is not the best TV show ever: "Firefly" is. Has he said he's actually watched it or given an opinion on it? I wouldn't know, what with not watching his liveshows....

Ok but here's the thing, that second photo of that post isn't even on the artists page. And it wasn't there last night ether as I was just on her page then. Unless she posted that and deleted it, I don't know. Is there anyway to tell if both of these post have been photoshopped in some way?? I know when I zoom in on the first photo I find it really odd that almost all text in it has a slight gray box around it when compared to a screenshot on my own phone from Tumblr? But then again it could just be because the screenshot was taken on a different phone? But the fact that only one person got this notification in their Tumblr dash and now everyone is sharing just that one photo is pretty suspicious to me?
Ether way I'm still very about the whole thing.

you put it in words, i exactly the same about dan's liveshows. i even think that the reasons why i tend to like dan's videos more correlate with why i enjoy his liveshows less -- to me, his videos are somewhat more "exciting" (i.e. i tend to feel more strongly about them as phil's videos which i normally just watch and like, but i like liveshows to be chill and "unexciting") and i relate to him more (so i tend to get annoyed with him sometimes for the same reasons why i'd get annoyed with myself, were i forced to hang out with me).

He did and he has (he likes it a lot), in this liveshow he mentioned firefly (on others too), and i do agree, its one of the best shows of all time.

Agree on wanting more sources, but even if it's real - I'm guessing that lowkey voldy reference (3D glasses) might be why he would unlike it, moreso than the caption.

Well, It looks like he did like and then unlike the art, as someone with a completely different screenshot did come forward with it.

But I don't get why tumblr is showing it as liked still if he unliked it so quick? That's what's really odd to me. I can see why he unliked it for the reason dizzy gave. But,if he seriously unliked it for the caption, I'd be actually annoyed because ??? That is a true statement? Regardless of what you think their relationship status is, their life's are indeed completely intertwined for the most part. Not only that but the other phan art he liked with the "power couple" caption is still in his likes.
Other than the reason of the 3D glasses that dizzy brought up, I Can't see why he would unlike it so quick, unless of course he was just lurking and pressed like by a complete mistake? I'm honestly more inclined to believe that happened since when he does like fan art, he goes on a liking spree and doesn't like just one photo.
I mean this isn't a big deal, of course, but it's just very confusing and interesting?

I do find Dan's live shows a bit more interesting to watch, not sure why though. I do watch Phil's as well but I listen to it in the background most of the time and i tend to actually watch more of Dan's. I don't watch them live as they do it during school mostly i watch while doing homework so it's not as boring. I don't really get excited about live shows as much as others.
